Will my boat be afloat without the lift?

With all this rain, the CT River will be at major flood stage on Thursday. Now the question is will the raising water float the boat off the jack stands? Only time will tell. Plug is in and rope tied off to some pilings on land.

I am just down the river from you at Petzolds. Went to check on her yesterday and I am in good shape. The river is up as high as I have ever seen it. Few weeks before I will be in with all of the crap that is heading toward the sound. They said the crest is going to be tomorrow. Hope you will be okay.

Sw33t, I had my fingers crossed for your sake. I have gone through a few floods here myself in the midwest and they are far from fun.

It looks like I do not have to worry about floating the boat. They have dropped the crest from just under 16 feet to about 13 feet. I am safe. Also it looks like I will be able to work on the boat for the next 3 days with wonderful sunshine and temps
