All the private Marinas are more then the town around me. With 10 year waiting lists, they know what they have. I could get in a private in half the time, but it would cost more.

Got in....:smt038. I even got the slip I wanted....Just looked at the letter. Iv'e been on the list since 8/22/2008.

Congrats!

Good for you. My little town has an almost 30 year wait for slips for boats up to 24 feet. They are less than half the cost of the private marinas. Fortunately I have family who lives on the water and I can trade some sweat for a slip.

When I hear stories like these, I count my blessings that my boats are behind my house 24/7/365 for virtually no additional cost

The MI state docks definitely vary. I'm in a 60' slip, 1,549/yr incl elec, the amenities are few.

Geeesh, I guess we are really spoiled, not that I'm griping about it. My 20' x 60' slip runs just a whisker under $250 a month, so $3,000 a year and that includes water.

WOW. The indoor well your boat was in when you found her in Michigan is almost $1,200 per month!

50 x 20 covered slip in a private member-maintained yacht club for $210 per quarter. Spring work day was last Saturday. Routine grounds and dock work contracted out. Club dues $420 per year. Las new member was on the wait list for 9 years.
