will a gps chartplotter work with 1992 ap7000 autopilot

Seeing the loran is non functional i need a new gps/plotter combo.I need to adapt to raymarine radar and ap7000 autopilot,i am thinking in 1992 0813 was being used but if not is there a way to link them anyway?Thanks Glen

I just scanned the install manual online and it says it works with any 0810/0813 signaling device,now to figure out how.

Also wondering if i can use a newer color screen instead of the crt witout changing the open array?

I think you mean the interface is NMEA 0183. That electronics standard has been around since the 80's and if your devices can talk/listen on an NMEA 0183 port then every thing should be happy.

As far upgrading the CRT, you would probably have to check with Raymarine.

Thanks pete,i do mean interface.The boat has seatalk i belive so possibly just new pigtails or an adapter or two if im lucky.I am color blind and the crt screens are difficult to see for me,not to mention the cataracts i am slowly growing.
