We where at Kismit Fire Island yesterday during the storms. More than 1/2 the boats ( Aprox. 10) ended up on the beach or up against other boats!
Not me  Learning from The site and others I saw the storm coming and took up my rear anchor and put out about 40 feet of Scope and rode out the Storm. 4 ft waves in the Bay and 30- 40 mph Winds. People where in the water trying to hold there boats away from the beach. When does boating become relaxing anyway? I use to laugh at my dock mates who never leave the dock but maybe they have the right idear.
