Wife wants a blanket on the boat

Another option is rain paints/rain jacket.

There were some good comments on here, I had not considered a "beach" sand type of blanket as a contender as well.

One get a life comment won't bother me, I have thick skin, and if one spends anytime on the forum you always upset someone at sometime.

Part of why the wifey is cold is she's getting along with a casted foot, so cannot move around the boat, she's stuck where she is stuck. My boy and I are moving all the time with the fishing, so we stay a bit warmer anyways.

You could go with a light weight water proof sleeping bag .that will keep her nice and toasty .

This is a fantastic idea!!!!

We have some cool evenings where we boat and my wife always complains about being cold. Having a light weight inexpensive sleeping bag that fully unzips, and stowed in a closet on the boat is a great idea!!! If it gets her out for more night cruises I'm all for it.

Thanks for contributing this.

Wool is supposed to hold the heat even when it gets wet but it's itchy. My Admiral uses the thick brushed fleece blankets from the bedding department at one of the stores. They even come in handy during the summer when that cool wind pipes up at night. She says to tell you that they're the coziest.

May I Suggest Frog Toggs if it is the wet that is making her cold
Mambe waterproof blanket $ 189 has a hood.
Snuggie or the Slanket neither are water proof but if paired with a nice Coleman rain poncho they would do the trick.
if the worry is dry storage I use the space saver vacuum seal storage bags for stuff I want to stow away and keep dry.
