Why is your user name what it is?

A blend of my first and last name. Not very creative....that's why I can't come up with a name for the boat. :smt013

"Tyree" is a family name. It is shared as a middle name by an uncle, my husband's father, my husband, our son, and his son. Our son and dil adopted a couple of boys and one of them requested the same middle name. When it came time to name the boat..."Tyree Too!" just seemed appropriate plus it was unique and family related.

Last name - Also used on Kitesurfing, Salt water aquarium, and many other forums.

Why is my user name what it is?

I am the General Manager of a company that produces concrete and construction materials. My wife starting using the word "concretehead" to describe my mental attributes.

Our first house came with 3 acres. As a joke, my wife put "Anderson Acres" on the mailbox one day. It was embarrassing at first, then I decided to keep using it and turn the joke on her. I now use it in a lot of online username situations.

Nothing to do with my boat. I was given the name by some fellow employees because my bald head shines! :smt043

well when i was small i was husky so my friends used to call me "rock" and my first name is Carlos so i took the
first letter of my name and put it next to rock and thats how i got my name.. "c rock" and the 1 after it comes from when i was young i used to do graffitti and when you are the first one to take a name you put a 1 after it, and so on. it looks like crock on the forums cause i dont think you can put spaces in your name when you create yoru profile!... to this day all my friends call me c rock.

When my wife and I were dating I had a 220OV and recently Divorced and was contemplating selling it. One night I took her out to Dinner on Lake Union in Seattle by boat. While we waited for a table we went into a jewlery store next door and were talking about it was a stupid idea to sell something we both enjoyed so much. In the store she spotted a Necklace with Dolphins on a medallion similar to this one.

My wife loves Dolphins, as tehy have special meaning to her from when she scattered some of her mother's ashes in the ocean near Catlina Island, the dolphins came to greet them. On the Medallion's tag was a description of the Necklace and how The Dolphin's were symbol's of the Celtic Godess of the Seafarers -Nehalennia.

We bought it immediately, had a great dinner and I told her I think we just found the Name for My Boat.
We sold Nehalennia to by our house in 1998. Without a boat for a full year, we went crazy doing yardwork and drove in a truck for vacations :smt021.
2000 we found a 230OV "Nehalennia II" which we just sold.

Now we're hoping to seal the deal on Nehalennia III and it sounds like I won't be able to Edit my Screen name so I'll re-register with Nehalennia when it's official. I think we'll either use the Above symbol of the Three Dolphins to represent the 3 Nehalennia's or the Viking Rune for three which is a triangle. I don't think we'll call her Nehalennia III, just Nehalennia and come up with the symbol and have a good story

Wow, that's a tough post to follow, but here goes.....
My boat is named after my wife; the Princess M (for Muriel) and while she has always been very comfortable that others recognise her royal status, I couldn't really see being the Princess guy or similar.
We live in Eugene, Oregon - home of the great UofO Ducks. My wife, her father and neice are all alumni. And while the schools sports teams only sometimes actually deserve it, people here are pretty fanatical fans. Hence DuckBoater; also a small play on words regarding a very stable, flat bottom canoe which hunters use.

LauCo is my last boat's name. (It stand for my kids, Lauren and Connor) and the fact that my wife used to think I was crazy because I loved boating so much.
Still LauCo is our new boats name

This is the name of our boat, and my wife loves Johnny Depp so go figure. She would not change a thing.

BON DIA....a saying of the islanders in the Dutch ABCs, means "good day", commonly heard both at the beginning & end of a conversation. We scuba dive both Bonaire & Curacao, have never been to Aruba....fear the prices plus the diving is reported not as good.

Both islands are sun baked, very arid, cactus is abundant and millions of flamingos feed in the huge salt pans or lakes on the S end of the island, thus our avatar.

My user name of "Novation" is a legal term meaning the substitution of one debt for another debt.... a fitting application to the boating world.

I am a Firefighter/Paramedic ...I spend every third day on Quint 4 , which is a pumper/ladder combination truck.

My brother in-law started asking my wife "where is boaterboy" every time I was out on the boat. The nickname stuck with all my in-laws and my wife. I had to abbreviate on my e-mail address so I kept the abbreviation here too.

Wife and I came up with Half Off because we thought it had a nice ring to it when we figured up the final price of our boat after figuring in the trade. I'll find out tomorrow if we trade this one in on a bigger one, then it will take on a whole new meaning.........

Chuck was already taken on another board years ago so went with Chuck1. Got to keep it simple
