Why are Sea Ray owners snobs

I was on my friends Four Winns when we went by a row of 8 Sea Rays. I waved and not one boat waved back. :smt021. Later that day we had my Sea Ray and went by the same row of boats i waved again and all of them waved back. Whats up with that ??. I wave to everyone no matter what brand of boat they have. :smt001.... PS i had on my Wayne's World tee shirt and hat so they must of remembered me.

This just occurred to me after creating my string about an embarrassing moment...
What body part were you waving and did you have any non-boating guests on board? Were you watching what your non-boating guests were doing as you passed?

The guys with Cats are the worst:

I hate snobs and will never have a snob as my friend. Let them live their fantasy that they are better than you. I have enough money to join their clubs but choose not to. They end up having fewer genuine friends because to them, freindship is based on power, money and social status. Let them live their lives solely amongst their pathetic selves.

Given that, who needs them to wave back?

Are you guys seriously forming an opinion about people based on one failure to wave back? Even if that was a good reason to judge someone how do you know they saw you wave or were even looking at you? Maybe his sunglasses were pointed in your general direction but his eyes might have been on something beyond your boat. Between navigating, scoping bikinis and dodging sailboats it's easy to miss a wave or not remember to wave.
Hey I just noticed there's no waving smiley. The webmaster must be snobby.

On Allatoona they think you are "uppity folks" in your nice cruiser!

We get a lot of waves and my kids wave back all the time. We have pretty nice people on the lake here overall, although I am not too fond of the guys running wide open in the Fountains and the Scaarabs through some of the narrow channels!:smt013:smt021

I'm with you on those cigarette boats. Thise guy run wide opne no matter what the traffic load.:smt013

M I don't think they know the difference...unless Hannah Montana or iCarly already told them.

 Sounds like my two daughters, but you DID leave off the Jonas Brothers, the "Beatles" of today's youth, according to the 13 year old :smt021

I waived so much this past weekend my arms almost fell off....I even waived at a couple in kyaks....where is that spring loaded hand that I had back in the 80's?

On top of your beanie? That's where mine is.

I really don't think snobbery has anything to do with it. Some people are uncouth and will wave at anything, some people just wave at their friends and some people wave to flag someone down. Personally I like the small yet subtle acknowledgment wrist flick. Pistol grip style, nothing flamboyant yet Manley and Stylish. "It says, got ya covered, have a nice day." All in one easy motion.

I saw every one of them looking back at me. :smt001 There was about 23 people between the 8 boats..

You sure they weren't looking at the chick baring her breasts on the boat behind you?

Well, I have a story, we were in our 1st SeaRay, a '05 260 and went to an Aquapalooza event.... seems no one and I mean NO ONE wanted to tie up next to us? Why? I thought our boat was too small, as many were larger. There was some money on the water and I felt snubbed, even though we were at a searay event in a searay!! ha.

We looked at many, many, many boats--searay and non-searay when we decided to go bigger. It was the design/layout of the boat that sold us, not the manufacturer per say, and perhaps the friendliest sales guy on the river (not with a searay dealership)... Oh, btw, the "food" they served at that event was def not 'high-end.'

Another thought I had about snobs is this: maybe it's people without dogs that are meanies, not so much the boat they drive?! Dogs don't care what boat you drive, as long as they can get off it sometime to do their biz. :)

My dog refuses to do his thing out on the swim platform, even if I'm holding his collar tight. He's only done the deed once on the boat, right on the vinyl seat. Otherwise he just barks when he needs to go in. How snobby!
