Who owns this boat?

Captains choice. Type the name and search, second from the bottom shows my HIN, records show our boarding in the Elizabeth River in may ‘17, and Erie PA in ‘14 but none of the boardings after that. Boat’s an ‘04 but listed there as an ‘03.

Ah 03, that was it. Your depth shows wrong as well, 6.7' . I wonder what they base that on? Like Arch to water line or somehting like that and depth isn't the depth under water. Your Tonnage is off also - 26 - Simplified, Gross Ton, Mine is listed as 43 ... I need to figure that out. Although 43 would work to upgrade to 100GT license.

It is listed as an 03 because it was built in June of 03 for model year 04. If it was built in Aug 03 then it would be listed as an 04.

yeah, well, like I said, not documented so maybe they just pull numbers out of their hat.

I couldn't let that go knowing what my boat weighs and what it draws.

So Depth on your title means from the rub rail to the bottom of the boat. And the Tonnage is volume that is displaces. I think that one is a bit crazy, but hey I am not the USCG.

That also means the tonnage on the document is correct and can be used for licenses. 100Ton Masters is no problem wit a 40' Sea Ray for helm time.

The way I read it, tonnage is volume, not displacement. 1 ton is 100cuft of volume.

Yeah, the tonnage includes the volume of the super structure as well, so that can't displacement. Crazy how they do that instead of weight on the actual vessel. I wonder why they calculate it that way.
