cid:X.MA1.1259152774@aol.com

The evidence cited proves the opposite of the point the author is trying to make.

Where in these preambles does it say we are a Christian Nation, a Jewish nation or a Muslim Nation?

It seems to me that having faith in God is pretty strong and central value and ideal that these preambles are invoking.

There is a difference between being an atheistic and a being a secular nation. Being secular does not require atheism.

There's no God in Mass. "We...the people of Massachusetts, acknowledging with grateful hearts, the goodness of the Great Legislator of the Universe In the course of His Providence, an opportunity and devoutly imploring His direction " The Great Legislator of the Universe? What kind of sh... uhh crap is that? On the other hand, why am I not surprised?

The facts are that the majority of Americans call themselves Christians. Some surveys show over 80%. The trend is decreasing, but there is still an overwhelming majority of Christians over other religions. Virtually all of the founding fathers of America were Christians. So, you can say that this nation was founded by Christians and is still a Christian nation.

Obama uses the Royal we, which really means "I or Me" Sort of like when your wife says "We need new dishes"
