You don't have to be intelligent or talented to be famous. It's the only reason she can get people to keep talking about her. Or the only way she stays relevant.
 
Recently I was watching youtube videos of old concert footage and TV shows like "Midnight Special" with friends. Most of the old rockers were classically trained, real musicians or vocalists, and very skilled. There is very little talent and even less formal training today, this is just the next page from the Madonna play book.

Just as a side note to all of this, "they" keep track of the "synergy" these celebrities create with their antics by having Internet bots count the Tweets, posts, and even email mentions (if you have Gmail etc.). So a thread like this furthers this situation even though we agree it is all BS...

Because our society is buying. It becomes a shift of paradigms when what your eyes look at are every bit as much a currency as the dollars in your wallet. If you click on a link promising a scintillating story or pics on the latest tartlet you, by just clicking, are "supporting" these antics by giving them the "currency" they laugh "all the way to the bank" with.

And right now Miley's agent is pouring over the data and saying ,
"Hey look at all the attention she's getting over at that ClubSeaRay site. Seams they associate her with Summer Fun. And there's a guy called Rusty there that is well liked. We could do a photo shoot of Miley with her tongue hanging out twerking with Rusty. They would love it. By the way what's a Searay???"

It's always amused me that in Europe they always say that there is "no class system" in the USA. Oh yes there is, and she's at the very bottom.
