I am hoping to have this done over the winter and I remember a while back some one on this forum did this and posted drawings as well. I even pulled the drawings off to use in the future, but my old computer went bye bye when the hard drive decided to melt down. I am woking with my canvas guy next week and I was hoping to share the drawings with him so we could all be on the same page.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Darren

Installing a bimini is very simple and takes less than an hour. Longer, of course, the first time you do it as you're triple checking yourself on everything before you drill.

Do you need help on installing it, or measuring for one? Are you buying a pre-made top and having the canvas guy installing it, or is he/she making it from scratch?

I am looking to convert my current storm top to a bimini by adding a support to the forward aspect of it and adding the isenglass to complete the sourround. It is a little more then buying a bimini off the shelf. I am hoping to find the previous thread because he had fairly detailed drawings of his design. It shouldn't be too difficult because I have a spare top with hardware to poach the necessary components from. I would like to utilize his drawings to help my canvas guy with my vison of what I want.

Gotcha. In the end, obviously do what you think is best, but... especially since your way is more $$ than a new top, why spend all the extra time and aggravation doing that when it seems a new top would be simpler? Plus a new top would likely be 6' long, which I think is longer than your current top? Just a suggestion.
