Have a question for you all out there. I was sanding the bottom of my boat and along with the 2 engine raw water pick ups, I have two others. On the stbd side, one is the thru hull with a intake strainer (I call it gated) and the port side simply has the thru hull flush, no strainer.
When I disconnected the genny, it was hooked up to the flush thru hole.
Question: Which one should the Genny be plumbed to?
It would seem logical to me to hook it up to the one with the strainer as it would asist when you are "underway" in feeding the genny water. I think the other one was for a wash down system?.....
