which Handheld spotlight?

for use as a backup to my mounted searchlight i like to carry a handheld spotlight. The one i've had for years was a million candlepower and was great but it recently died so i must replace it. new ones measured in lumens now...the old one was a 12volt and i've noticed most of the newer ones are rechargable which makes me nervous for some reason. i feel like a plug in 12 volt would be more reliable. what would you recomend i use for a spotlight? running the great lakes of michigan at night occasionally and i need some serious focused beam. Thanks.

Stanley fat max LED is pretty nice. High and low beam. 110v and 12v rechargeable. Not waterproof, but it was only about $50.
