It's still boating season here in Eastern North Carolina and I have a bilge blower that is growling like mad. I feel like a Rookie cause I've spent time in the bilge trying to locate the blower motor without success. Anybody out there able to tell me where they hid the blower on a 97 330 DA.

Thanks in advance,

Can't tell you exactly where it is, but... are you trying to find it with it turned off? Turn it on - should make it easier.

They are usually not easily seen as you you'll only see the center section of it since the rest of it is inside the hoses.

Yeah, but it is so loud it echoes through the bilge. Actually when I tracked the vent hoses it appears it has to be at the stern on the port side, but the sound and vibration appears strongest on the starboard side.

According to my manual just one honkin 4 inch 4000.

Hoses typically go to both starboard and port side. Many times there are 4 hoses, but only one of them will contain the blower. It could be screwed to the aft wall of bilge - ie, the transom. It could be screwed to the flat, horizontal area behind your batteries or genny, for example.

You know I think I saw something that looked like a bracket on the transom wall about in the middle. With a gen set and closed cooling system piping there isn't much room in my bilge to crawl around. Keep the suggestions coming. Thanks

Right... if you look at the picture that Bridog posted... imagine having the black hose zip tied onto either side of the "bracket" -- all you would end up seeing is the middle 1" or 2" of white plastic and the two screws that fasten it.

I will renew my search tomorrow. We are still having weather in the 70s and I want to spend 2 or 3 nights out with the Admiral before it gets to crispy. Thanks
