I recently got my first SeaRay. It is a 250 SLX. I have been trying to come up with a name and finally made a decision! That is an accomplishment in itself. But it has just occurred to me...there really isn't a place for it. At least not on the transom. Any ideas? I hate the thought of slapping a sticker on the hull. I think these boats are beautiful and I don't want the name to take focus away from the incredible design.

There is a very small spot on the transom, however, the cover snaps will probably interfere with the graphic. I'm not worried about adding the hailing port, but I do want the name. I realize in my case, the name is no more than a vanity plate.

If it isn’t a documented boat you won’t need the hailing port…if it is documented you must have it

That’s a tough one for sure! Barely room for a bumper sticker. How about having a flag or burgee made to fly with the name?

I think I'd remove all of the safety stickers on the lip of your swim platform and install it there between the handles. You won't have room for any fancy fonts but you could surely get a legible name in there...

Right between the speakers is a fine spot, and it will keep it small so it’s not a billboard. When I got the registration numbers for my current boat, I found a place called Domednumbers.com. They will match the font of your brand and can do boat names too. Not too bad on price and if you wait until Black Friday they usually have a half off sale.

I’ll put a plug in for “islandboatlettering.com”. They did my graphics and then matched my registration letter font to that.
They are great to work with and will create something for you to look at before pulling the trigger. Not cheap but good.

In your case I think I'd use white lettering and put it on the black part of the hull on either side near the back.
