My wife and I have purchased an 07 Sundancer 40. Moved up from a 340. For those of you that have/had a 40, where did you put the mount for a magma grill? Also, if you have any pictures I would like to see them.

Here is where I put ours on a 420

I liked this approach best so far. I've used it for the whole season and would do it again.

I love the mount inside the swim laddder, that's where I'm going to mount mine on the 320 or whateveer I end up getting or keeping... Never thought of there, that's very concealed..

Hey Aftershock, Whats the Unbrella shade in the aft holder, Is that a sunshade? Or what might it be Sir, Looks awesome.

Good move going with the 400. My wife and I had a 340 and just bought a 400. We love it. On my 340 we had the grill mounted on a pedestal on the swim platform. We liked it there and used it all the time. The previous owner of the 400 we just bought mounted his grill with recess mounts from Magma just to the left of the entrance door when entering from the swim platform. I bought the new mounts for my grill and plan to use the already installed mounts. It seems like a good idea but I wont know until I start grilling this spring. The next time I get to the lake I will take a picture.

Here is the mount: http://www.magmaproducts.com/Produc.../T10-526_Rectangular/t10-526_rectangular.html

Congratulations on the new boat.

I'd say that there's no just one and best solution, b/c it all depends on how each boat is setup and we all have different needs. Some people like using the rod holders, which is much easier installation. All you'd need just the small attachment for the grill. But, in my 320 we always had full camper on and I didn't have any rod holders, so this wasn't much of an option. Also, I think that anytime you grill you get surrounding area somewhat messy. Thus, having the grill on the swim platform makes it a lot easier to clean the grill and the area under and around it.

My 420 has the rod holders, so I'm not 100% sure yet where will I mount the grill.
