Mercruiserparts wanted 25 bucks to ship a few hard to find bolts. I ordered them from Marinepartsexpress and 3 weeks later they still haven't arrived. UPS ground shipping from ME to MA is 1-2 days. They probably ship from somewhere else.
So does anyone have a good supplier for misc. engine parts, who have them in stock and won't hammer you on shipping?

Thanks for the leads. The StemtoStern membership looks interesting. It looks like a good value at 10.95/yr knowing there are things we have to buy every season.

If you need Mercruiser parts, Doller Offshore Marine is an authorized Mercruiser dealer, knows and services the stuff, discounts, and has lots and lots of parts stock. The counter people are also knowledgeable; they find and ship the correct parts. I've had great success dealing with them. The owner is especially good and tries harder than most to get and hold a good reputation. I've met the owner as a friend had his boat rigged and then re-rigged by Doller Offshore.

Best regards,
Frank

go2marine and ebasicpower are my favorites. Goodies usually arrive in 2-3 days.

I don't know about using Mercruiser knock-offs. Merc parts aren't especially robust in the first place. Ordering cheaper versions has to be looking for trouble. Since basic power and the others are not Mercruiser authorized dealers, they can't sell Merc parts, so they only have seconds.

Best regards,
Frank
