I have not been able to locate the oil pressure switch on my 4.3 2001 engine. Can anyone tell me where to look for it?
Thanks, Glenn

It's next to the oil filter. Or, where it would normally be located on the block if you have EFI - I'm not sure based on your signature.

I have throttle body with the remote oil filter. Is this part visible or do you have to feel for it?

Depends on which engine :) Port engine, not so bad - 'course that depends on other 'items' on that port-side shelf. Stbd engine... it's the middle of the two engines. Stick your phone down there first so you see what you're looking for. Just follow the remote oil filter lines - you'll find it easy enough. Not too hard to do by feel. The switch is the little one... the sender is the big can.

Was told my 1998 290 sundancer with twin 5.o efi dont have that. Put a new fuel pump in and it stopped working right away. Looked for that cause was told it runs the power to the fp. Mine has a 15 amp fuse under the ecm cover. No oil pressure switch. Just a thought

UPDATE:
Was looking for reason why my starboard engine wouldn't start after a 30 minute run and thought it had something to due with the oil pressure switch keeping the fuel pump from working. Well, it turns out the problem was the ECT sensor. This sensor was telling the ECM that the engine was cold when it was hot, flooding the engine so it would not start. Looking forward to smooth sailing for the boating days ahead.
