Where is the emergency forward bilge pump on a 330DA

Mrs. Robinson- Sorry to hear of your situation today. Glad it turned out as it did and no damage to the vessel. I'm not aware of an emergency forward bilge pump on our boats. I have had all my compartments open and even down by the shower sump I don't recall seeing any additional pumps.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Stuart

You also have the red light for this on your systems monitor?

Actually I don't have a systems monitor on my boat. I'm assuming what you mean by systems monitor is a boat shaped diagram with different "systems" indicated on the dash?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yup, ours is on the helm to the right of the steering wheel. The red light is coming on for the emergency forward bilge pump.

Hello, regarding your fwd. bilge pump...you do not have one. However, what you do have are two in the center of the bilge. One pump is based on the hull bottom-centerline and this is automatic via direct wiring. You also have a second pump that is raised off of the floor approx.3 "...this pump has an alarm built in that sounds at the helm when it is activated...this should be what you are hearing. Obviously, check the water in your bilge...if some is evident...the results are evident. If not, the float on the second (raised) pump may be stuck in the up position...check for debris, clean and see if it sounds. If this doesn't correct the problem, you may have to replace that pump. Hope I helped.

On the boat this weekend. The systems monitor alarm is going off, about 1/2 volume. The 2nd light from the top is lit, but not fully. It's marked Forward
Emergency Bilge.

I removed the dash panel and found a printer looking cable that connected to a strip of screws with wires running to each screw. I removed the cable and the alarm goes off, and of course the systems monitor quits working. Each of the screws in the strip appears to match a red light on the monitor. There is no wire going to the screw marked forward emergency bilge. All bilges are dry.

Greg,
I had a bilge pump next to the shower sump on the hull in my old '97 330.

The Archives Parts Manual leaves you guessing on the Sea Ray website. I would assume two things. One: you may have another bilge pump forward of the engine compartment left of the battery locations. Typically it would be in a location as far forward yet still isolated from the dividing wall of the cabin space. It may also be where your shower dumps into. The alarm usually indicates a HIGH WATER ALARM. Its a safety feature to let you know that a substantial amount of water is in the bilge area. Some times its is just another float switch mounted higher than the first in the event that the first switch fails or that water is entering faster than the bilge can pump it out. When in doubt you can call Sea Ray reps in Knoxville where most Sundancer Models are made.
