When to start the Fogging?

First time to winterize the 240 5.7L 4 barrel alpha 1 Gen II...planning the process for next weekend and curious how the evolution unfolds when you're trying to suck the antifreeze thru the outdrive while at the same time pouring the fogging solution down the carb. My first-shot timeline follows:

1. Wash boat/trialer w/ anti-salt solution (product name forgotten...just looking to get all salt contaminants off surfaces prior to long-term storage).
2. Flush Water system and pour enuf -50 in to circulate thru pump and to sink faucet/transom shower.
3. Bring motor up to temp. Replace fuel/water separator & oil/filter.

Now for the chinese fire drill....
4. Place 5 gal bucket w/ -100 antifreeze on transom with hose leading to muffs. Start motor and run until bucket is 3/4 empty.
5. Begine to fog motor w/ 8 oz quicksilver solution followed by dumping in last 2 oz to kill motor. Hope that bucket w/ antifreeze going thru motor doesn't run dry in this process...
6. Drain/refill outdrive oil.

Take boat to get shrink wrapped. Since I'm supposed to store w/ outdrive down...how in the heck does one lower the outdrive if she's all buttoned up? Pull the caps and tap out the pins on the actuators or have a zipper installed in the shrinkwrap so I can get to the outdrive switch?

Wondering what surprises y'all can help me avoid- thx in advance for the help!

Just put someone else in the drivers seat and tell them their only job is to switch it off when you tell them too.

If it's shrinkwrapped, they can put in an access zipper for a small fee of course.

You have the basic steps right, although I do it just a bit differently. Running it on the muffs, I bring it up to operating temperature, then, shut her down, attach the jug with the anti-freeze, with someone checking the exhaust, I wait until it shows pink, and then start fogging until it dies. Drain the manifolds, then change the oil and filters.
I don't run in salt water, so I wait until everything is freeze protected before I start the cleaning and waxing --- I figure if I miscalulated the boating season and get frozen out the hull can wait until Spring.
