...sometimes it pours. Here is my list of systems/parts that have failed and required replacement so far this season!!! The Lost Islander is reminding me that even though she LOOKS much newer, her systems are 14yrs old.

1. Water heater - turned out to be only the thermostat needed replacement, so I have a spare heating element for when that goes out.
2. Batteries - three of four tested weak/OK, one was toast. All were four years old.
3. Forward head Vacuflush unit. Motor was toast - replaced entire unit with new. Sh&%%y job...
4. AC water pump. Started to lose prime and would sit and hum rather than pump, tripping codes on the AC units.
5. Rearmost (main) bilge pump. Similar to AC pump, would sit and hum, but not always spin up and pump. My plan is to one by one work my way through ALL bilge pumps, with shower sump being the next on my 'hit' list, before it fails underway.

I was just going to say that, especially if you boat in battery acid (otherwise know as salt water)! :huh:

Well here is my list.....

1. Trim tab leaking out side of boat....Replace cap and brass through boat
2. Garmin depth not reading under 5mph...So replace transducer .....not! turned out to be brain box...Send to Garmin...
3. Water head tripped breaker ....Looks like just a bad wire replace wire...Not!! Thermostat bad (replace)
4. Ac/ Heat did not work...bad wire on pump...Fixed wire..
5. Forward AC/Heat worked great, Salon nothing no Heat No Air....Trigger switch went bad, the one that turns your pump on/Off..(replace)
6. 1st Shower of the year, water up to my ankles ! Bad float switch...(replace)
7. Beer not cold??? Bad Refrigerator (replace)
8. Batteries ....Only 2 were bad!!

So talk about a list!! I should be good for a couple of years!!

I'm just sick of all the RAIN right now....... couldn't get any last summer, now we're drowning....

I'll trade you your old boat back....even!
Lowrance depth finder went two weekends ago...switch went bad
Hot water heater....complete replacement, bottom was full of crud
Two of the three hatch covers were ripped off during a storm, all three were replaced
Vacu flush needs to be rebuilt due to a teen non boating girl.... Kit ordered
Pickups went bad on the STBD side....replaced both sides

P.S. I still love your old boat! Spikedaddy99
