When do you put your boat up for the season?

Booked for Oct 10. Already bought oil, filters and ATF. Shopping for pink stuff.

Never!....it gets cold here, but doesn't last long. Even during the winter months (3), we can go out a couple of times a month. Keeps the boat in good shape. I crank everything up to temp at least once a week. Just go from the cockpit cover to the full enclosure..........the changing seasons are good, but winter should only last a month or so.

Exactly what we do. Boat is ready to go at anytime. We have had it out every month of the year.

No worries unless there is about an inch of ice on the lake, which has not happened for at least 20 years. I would be concerned about the fresh water and AC/Heat sytem if that happened. I have the Boatsafe to keep the ER warm. Now watch this year to be the one..

We do it around the middle of October. Since it stays in the water all year at Thanksgiving we decorate her, she then sparkles until New Years. This year she will have Mr & Mrs Claus on her

I would think it would suck to live down south this time of year. There are too many winter activities that we enjoy to want to skip the season all together.

Yea, thats how we are. Sorry, I couldnt deal with a constant season. Love the changes from fall to winter to spring. I am sad about wakeboarding, and boating is cool and all, but heck, here comes skiing, skating and making fires, dinner parties, snowmobiling...geez too many to list and Ive already said this a thousand times. Couldnt pay me to move south of where we are.

We have about a month or so until the boat gets winterized and snuggled up in our garage. I have a dry suit for wakeboarding this year, so we'll give it a go until I see freezing temps coming on.

We use it year round, but in the winter three months, I put the bow cover on and the kids play under there or in the "party room" (otherwise known as the head). Rarely get up on plane from November-March, we just putt around slowly.

Done! Pretty sad to see her go, but our season is from Memorial Day to typically Labor Day. Although I will say I snowmobile to the heated barn and have a few beers on it reminding myself why it is all worth it!

I'll be out in the next month.

Booooo! I don't know what I'm going to do with myself this winter. I had such a great season.

Probably midish oct. I like to get everything done before they turn off the water.

Looks like once again kids' sports schedules will cut the season short. Two years in a row where Labor Day was our last day out:smt089. I always loved fall boating, maybe some day we will get back to it. In years past, we would wait until mid-November. I'll probably make the call this week.:smt021

We have the pleasure of not putting ours up. We go out every other weekend even thru the winter. The ports and marinas are quiet but its a good way to get to know them if you are new to them.

I pulled her out yesterday and its always the hardest thing to do. However it gives me a few weekends to get it clean and winterized and maybe a coat of Meguires Flagship before it gets put away for good till April. Just like IronMan had indicated, October around here can bring anything.

Beerman you should haul that boat up to Lake Superior. What a finish to the season that would be, hey. You would be bringing beer wouldn't you? If not... well maybe next year.

October 12th, one of the last out and one of the first in, April 16 2010.

That would be a blast. Pulling out a little early. The wife works the next weekend and we are getting the bottom paint redone this year and the paint line moved up a couple inches. What a good summer. :smt089
