Whats the Difference

Somebody didn't use proper terminology when they indicated "SDA".

DA = sundancer
SD = sundeck

Don't hold me to it, but I would thing one is the Sundancer and the SDA would be the Sundeck. What year model are you looking at? If you look at the Sea Ray site it has good brochures for the recent models.

More often than not, DA = Sundancer. But, for reasons unbeknownst to me, Sea Ray has also used SDA to abbreviate Sundancer at times over the years. Guess what? Some of my dealer info has the SDA starting to resurface again... whether it will make it to public info, or not, I don't know.

My boat I own hull ID say 250sda its a Sundancer 26 ft boat. Totally confused? Then I got the Original paper work out and the book on it says its SRV 250 seems like 1985 things werent set in stone. i love the boat then there is a switch on the helm that say in/out and if turned on it sounds like a pump. There is another in ther Head area and one by the Galley how many pumps can there be and what in/out. Anyone know

I guess I'm confused also.

On the Sea Ray archives it lists your boat as a Sundancer SRV250. I would guess the S comes from SRV.

At the helm, I'm going to take a stab and say the in/out probably is controlling your drive. See if when you push the "out" button it makes your drive go up.

The other pumps could be for your fresh water supply and maybe a macerator?

Yes some of the older Dancers were called SDAs. Look through the archives on the Sea Ray site. I have not seen any newer Dancers with the SDA id. Maybe Frank or one of the other members will chime in soon.

the one in the head could be for the shower sump
