It depends on what you are looking for and the condition of your boat. If you don't have to compound and have some minor aging, I like Collinites Cleaner Wax - I believe it's number 870. If you have no skid on the bow, you could use a cleaner with a drill carpet attachment to apply and then Woodys Wax.

Wax can be a big debate, lots of good choices. My personal favorites are Mequiars Flagship and Star Brite. Buff Magic for heavier polishing. I also keep a bottle of Mequiars detailer and spray wax on board for touch ups.

Suck it up and get the collinite fleetwax in the can. You'll only need one coat on that hull in a season and your arms will look ready for the summer gun show on the water
