What's the best Sea Ray bowrider? (model / year)

I like my 2003 Select 5.0. 2008 was a bad year for manufacturers and my impression is the line went downhill from there. Shifting could be easier and a Bravo 3 would be nice.

Best bowrider?

MINE!

Haha, I love a lot of things about my old '94 220BR. I'm glad I went bigger for my first boat. It's been great these past couple years. Especially considering the excellent condition I got it in and low price I paid. No better way to get into boating. BUT, the seat layout really dates it, and it's not very efficient for storage or lounging. The 240s I see mentioned here really do look like what I want in me next boat.

We have a 2003 220 bowrider. 5.0 MPI alpha. It’s an excellent boat in all aspects. In the early 2000’s sea ray got rid of all the wood in the floors. These are the ones you want.

We love our 2000 210 Sundeck. It is lighter than the 240 and can be pulled with our Honda Pilot without issue. I won't lie, the 240 has been tempting so upgrade to, but it depends on what you can comfortably tow. For a 21' boat, the 210 has an excellent layout with the side bench seat. As far as dependability, ours has been great. We have fought vapor lock last year and still a little this year, but I have been trying cheaper solutions to work around rather than installing the booster pump kit when we figured out what it was doing. I also know how to avoid it when we're there, just a little inconvenience getting people to let me raise the hatch for a minute when we stop and park for a while. The only other item was the water circ pump, but overall, it's been a great boat for us. We couldn't pull the 240 with the Pilot, so it's nice having one that 2 of our vehicles will tow.
