theyre getting a little sticky and was just wondering what others use. Its another newbie question

The people who look after the canvas on my boat do not recommend this but this is what I do. Pressure wash the zippers at as low a pressure as I can to get the algae, mold and dirt out then spray cylicone on the zippers. Been doing this for 4 years and zippers still work. I do not pressure wash the canvas as I have seen people blow holes in it.

I use chapsticks.

Chapstick works great

thanks for the replies I would never have thought of chapstisk. simple, easy and almost always have a tube handy

Beeswax. I like using that because it's not greasy like over the counter "zipper/snap lubricant" (which is available, by the way). Beeswax also works great on snaps. You can buy a 1lb block of beeswax from a craft store for about $10. Between you and 10 friends, it will last your lifetimes and you give the remainder to your kids.
