I know this is a loaded question. I am very familiar with v-drive boats, particularly Nautiques, but am trying to help a friend sell her SeaRay.

2005 SeaRay 240 Sundeck - 190 hours. Good overall condition. 2 spots on the upholstery that aren't bad, but aren't perfect either.
has a bathroom with a sink and a sink in the lounge area of the boat.

Gel coat in good overall shape but has a few scuffs that look to me like they could be buffed out if someone spent some time on the boat.

I realize that it is the end of the season but just curious what approximate value of the boat is.

Fresh water only.

Thanks for the input.

I like to use 'Boat Trader' for these types of questions......

You can start by looking at NADA guides, local listings, finally Boat Trader.
Caution though, Boat Trader and Yachtworld have some very old listings that sit on there for a long time. Some are long gone and never taken down, and others are sitting there a long time because they are listed for too much money.
Once you have a reasonable price range do an honest assessment of where the boat fits in that range.
I've looked at a lot of used boats this year and I've found that private owners tend to exaggerate the condition of their boats. I don't think they are overly dishonest. It's more that they have learned to live with their boats shortcomings, or their definition of mint is different than others might be.

I've got the same boat model with a 350 mag and wake board tower & speakers/pa system. Mine has ~350 hours and I'm asking $35k. The color is pewter. It's a very desirable model, especially with a 350 or larger.

This time of year, with a 350 or 6.2, $28K. In the spring, $32K. Any higher and you can find an '08 with the magic DTS system. Probably the most popular boat SR ever made.

The problem with Boat Trader is that they are all of the high priced dealer listings that they can't sell because they are tone deaf on price. When a boat is for sale for 6 months, it has a pricing problem.
NADA doesn't allow for hours or salt water, both of which drive the price down.
