In your case with rocks, stay with aluminum. Consider your prop as an expendable like anodes. Better to fold blades than snap shafts.

Al has a "shock absorber" built into his props. It does an excellent job at taking the brunt of a "hit" and not causing shaft damage. However, I agree that if running aground is a normal/anticipated occurrence, then using an Al prop is still advisable.In your case with rocks, stay with aluminum. Last summer I had guests aboard (for the day, see shitter thread) well at mouth of Frog Mortar it gets real shallow out of channel (Techmitch knows) and i got to yakking not paying attention and suddenly Im in 2’ and churning mud. That is the only problem. what is that LOLMaybe get some spray paint and sand that corrosion off and paint that area on the anti ventilation plate.

The price tag can of a sharrow prop could buy a nice used 180.I don't know Sharrow
