dont kill me on this cause the right answer is to have the holes repaired and move on (which i will do this winter)
BUT
i have a old antenna mount that housed my old beat up glomex antenna, i bought and installed a kvh along with my radar using a seaview mount, my problem now is that i have a standard adjustable antenna mount with nothing but the threads showing, i replaced the old plastic one with a new stainless steel one and it looks better, but still kinda stupid without anything on it
question is is there anythingto put there, my gps is on the other side as is my VHF so i dont know
do they make blank gps domes or anything that you guys have seen that would look good on it
any suggestions would be great
thanks again
Larry

Would a PVC cap look just as bad?

Larry,

Where was the antenna mounted? If it was the top of your arch (which seemed to be typical for the Glomex), you can make up a small cover plate from white starboard and just cover up the hole.

I removed two antennas from the hardtop of my Uncle's fishing boat. One for the old GPS (new one is built in), and the other from his old Loran.
I went to the hardware store and got two PVC caps to cover the thread. Looks great, and cost about a buck apiece. Might use at least one of them in the future for an FM radio antenna so I didn't want to remove the mounts.

I like the pvc cap idea
thx guys
i will be filling and repairing the holes, just not till the season is over.....
