So it seems Californication has a 31 Billion dollar surplus that Newsome is just so proud of. He thinks we have a surplus for the second year in a row due to his genius management of the government. Just imagine the surplus we would have if 20 billion had not been handed out in fraudulent unemployment claims!
State law mandates how large multi year surpluses are to be handled. One thing they can do is spend it on education which we already have more money than districts know what to do with, or they can GIVE IT THE FUCK BACK to the tax payers they stole it from. Excuse my french please. I say start putting it towards the hundreds of billions of dollars in unfunded liabilities but where is the fun in that?

This just in! Problem solved!!
The CA EDD just announce a new policy to get back the money that was carelessly doled out last year. They will be contacting anyone that filed a claim and was paid and make them prove that they were gainfully employed immediately
prior to filing the claim or if a gig worker or self-employed they will need to submit tax returns and other evidence that they lost their income stream. Gee kinda late for that! How about making them prove their status before you pay them?
Good luck getting them to cough up the dough. I doubt seriously anyone that would make a fraudulent claim will still have the money or have an income stream to ever repay it. They will find a few cases of fraud, decide the poor bastard can't repay it and just forgive the debt. Here is an Idea TRY DOING YOUR FUCKING JOB RIGHT THE FIRST TIME YOU LAZY FUCKING BEUROCRATS! Proud to say. MD typically has a budget surplus every year. Regardless of party mostly because our Controller (the money guy) is from Corporate and smart. That said…. Then why the fark is this one of the most expensive states to live in and my property taxes keep getting raised???? Maybe they could use the surplus to fund community care like was done decades ago. Get all those folks off the streets, it looks like hell. Some of the homeless, mentally ill, addicts trashing and shitting all over CA could be helped and turned around and the rest at least not seen.

Uh yeah, they are spending 10 billion a year already on the “housing impaired”.
The problem is, it’s not a housing issue, it’s a drug abuse issue. The new Fentanyl/Meth out on the streets is exponentially more addictive and it causes accelerated mental illness too boot. The junkies however have the same rights as the rest of us in terms of personal choice here in the People’s Republic of Ca. What we need is strong leadership willing to order these folks rounded up, trucked to one of the shuttered military bases and forced to get and stay clean before being released back into the wild. It’s the only humane and moral way to deal with the problem.
The ten Billion that is being spent now goes to no bid contracts to build affordable housing projects, convert hotels to homeless shelters but they can only get a handful of the homeless to avail themselves of the help. When they do they trash the place because they have no skin in the game and they are mentally ill junkies. The newest revelation has been finding that the drug cartels are supporting the camps by supplying the drugs and the junkies use their public assistance dollars to buy it.
Just another by product of the open border issues. The Dems love this though. As long as there is a crisis to spend money on, they can funnel money into the coffers of their cronies and have their campaigns funded.
