First, we have the full camper enclosure so that helps us with dry space.

Rainy day options:
Fishing, going to a restaurant to eat, make s’mores with s small portable s’more maker, play cards and other board games.

Normally even on rainy days it does not rain all day. This opens windows of time for camp fires, etc.

Never by myself...Hannah and her 5 sisters. Although I DO sit on my hand sometimes until it is numb and then I experience "The Stranger."

Just go. Canvas helps. There are many trips we take in the fall, winter and spring that we'll get some rain. We have the canvas up most of these times and leave it up. With heat on board it really makes cruising in the cooler, wetter times nice and cozy.

I enjoy rainy days on the boat. We rent a movie or two to take with us when the weather forecast isn't quite as good. If it's going to be rough, we enjoy the rain and the boat at the dock. If it's a quiet rain (or thunderstorms which pass quickly), we head out and find that we have our favorite spot to ourselves, or just us and our other die-hard, close friends. It keeps a lot of the fair-weather boaters away. I love watching the thunderstorms out over the Gulf after dark. It can be thrilling. Nature is so powerful.

If it is warm and there is no lightning, I wash the boat. The rain is a great pre-soak. All I have to do is pour a little boat soap on the deck, hit it with the deck brush, and hose it off. I can wipe the hull with my hand while spraying it with the hose and she gets squeaky clean (love that Meguire's Flagship over Starbrite polish). When the rain stops, I dry it. I get to spend a rainy day on the boat, the boat gets clean, and I am good to go as soon as the sun is back.
