We have a vacuflush toilet model 848 for our 1993 searay 330. The pump works but there's no vacuum. There's no part number I can see on the vacuum tank. Does anyone have any info?

From you picture it looks like the switch on the top is pn: 9007A01. A quick google brings up that switch by part number and it looks that it may screw on to the top. Hope this is what your looking for.

That's an expensive part that wouldnt be the first thing I suspect. What symptoms have you had/what the history? It is more likely duck bills not sealing or a bellows if no vacuum. If you push on the brass knurl nut towards the tank, the pump should turn off. (pull the actuator into the tank). If the pump wont run, there is likely a fuse or breaker to check. Duckbills and the bellows are $120 for a pump rebuild.

The switch itself (as opposed to the assembly)is a Schnieder Electric part # (9007A01) and can be had for $50. Allegedly, these assembly's are not field adjustable, but the knurled knob sets the on/off setpoint. I think there is a spec for the amount of vacuum, and Dometic sell a guage.

When I put the 2 wires together to check the pump, the pump runs, so I didn't think it would be a breaker. Im hoping that switch will work. Thanks!

Does the pump just continue to run? Or does it cycle often? When was the last time you serviced the duckbills?

I just got done troubleshooting and rebuilding the same head (848) system. If the pump runs continuously or more than once every several hours, then you probably have bad duck bills, something stuck in the duck bills or a a vacuum leak. Additionally, the ball valve on the toilet or the shaft (has 2 oring that wear out) could be leaking sufficiently that it never draws enough vacuum to stop the pump.

Can you push/pull on the switch to get it to turn on/off? If so your problem is not the switch.

I will try that. Another issue is that the holding tank is empty but the do not flush light is lit up. It was like that last season too. Dont know how to get that to turn off.

Need to pull your tank sensors and clean them.

On some systems the “do not flush” light also disables the pump...
