Hello everyone! I'm thinking of purchasing an air compressor to blow out, at minimum, the dock side fresh water inlet. Will probably still pink the rest of the system. Can anyone tell me what size air compressor I'll need, should I bother at all with it and maybe just pink that too (but how do you get the pink in that part), etc?
Thanks!!

Mine's on the smallish side but it did just fine. 5.5 horsepower 20 gallon tank rated at 8.2 SCFM @ 40 PSI and 6.4 @ 90.

Not sure about the compressor but just run a faucet(s) until flow stops from the tank then poor in 2 gals. of pink in the tank and run faucet again until pink flows. Be sure you flush rest of entire system with pink as well.

I used my little Black & Decker 110/12volt tire inflator to do mine. It took a little while to do, but it did the job. It also meant that I didn't have to lug a larger portable compressor down to the boat which is docked 7 miles away from my house.
I hooked it up to the "city water" hookup with a RV flushing fitting I picked up for 2 or 3 bucks at Wal-Mart. Drained the HW heater and Fresh Water tank then closed all the faucets. I set the dial to 50 PSI. and opened the galley faucet (furthest away) once the system was filled to 50 PSI. I repeated it a couple of times at the galley faucet, and then moved along through the other faucets.
The biggest PIA was waiting for the thing to get back up to 50 PSI, but I guess it took about 20 minutes to do the whole thing and I used the time to get some other things done while waiting for the compressor to build back up.
Don't forget to do the fresh water washdown!
I plan to put some pink in the system also. I know I probably don't need it, but I'm anal and I bought more than enough of it from WM right after Labor Day anyway.
