So in essence, you want to steal a 400 DB, (50K less than asking price) but yet you want the typical asking price in today's market for your boat. The salesman at B&E just sold a 2007 340 for 132K, and told my friend with a 2003/04 340 that he could only expect to get around 100K for his.
I don't like it any more than you do, this market sucks. Hopefully the resale value of our boats will increase in the coming years. But realize that there are people out there that will try to steal your boat from you, just as you are trying to steal the 400.
Or in other words, as the saying goes, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Maybe you might be able to pull it off, stranger things have happend for sure, but I would be suprised if either of the two goals happened at the prices you are looking at.
Sorry I think you missed the point. If I go to Yacht World a similar boat to mine is anywhere between 150,000 and 175,000 so obviously out of wack. So, my question is more like - people ask like $200,000 + for Gas in a 2000-2001 but what is the real price. I am not totally sure on my boat but I figure around 120,000 but i might be wrong. So in essense I am wondering what the 400SB are actually selling for, yacht world is not accurate in my opinion
