Absolutely it's time they started getting acclimated to being on the boat. My almost-5 year old grandson has driven my boat for 2 years. In a few short years he's going to be a first rate deck
hand.

Our boys have been on the boat since they were 3 months for the captain, and 2 weeks for the first mate. They know no different and I would have it no other way. Knox has been taking us out of the channel for two years. He's five now and knows exactly what to do in case either of us would become disabled on the boat.

You're absolutely right. I grew up boating and my little guy is loving it too. He can't wait to get out there.
