I am refurbing a '96 250 Sundancer. It is in pretty good shape except for the seat coverings which are about as bad as they could be from sun and bleach washing.

It will be a while before I can get the boat to a reupholstering company so I am considering wrapping some of the worst places in tape just to hold them together and not be such a split open mess of foam.

Is there some super stick, fabric based, heavy duty tape..or duct tape that would be best for this temp repair?

I tried some cheap tape and it came right back off the back couch like seat over the transom.

Need it to super stick even after rain gets on it.

Thanks,
jb

"Dr. Shrink" shrink wrap tape. Comes as wide as 4", super sticky and it's white

You could try sail tape, just ask a sailor for a piece to try.Strong stuff.

There is a product known as "tear aid", it comes in two versions, one for vinyl and another for cloth. It works great. We were able to get one last season out of our canvas with the stuff.
