What kind of brake fluid does it use?

Does anyone happen to know what kind of brake fluid my 2005 ShoreLand'r trailer uses? I assume that it is DOT3, but can someone confirm? I'm going to my folks tomorrow to drop my old axle under it, and won't see the trailer until I get there. I just remembered that I need the fluid before I go! :smt021

Use DOT 3 Synthetic. Just make sure you bleed the brakes all the way. 6 yr. old fluid needs to be changed. I would empty the master cylinder with some sort of pump, then bleed the brakes out. Should take 1-2 hours if you have a helper

Already finished... used DOT3, but not synthetic. The old brake fluid was dirty, but not terrible. Bled them until the new fluid started coming out of the farthest brake from the master cylinder. Adjustment instructions were on one of the backing plates, so that made it easy. Got it all buttoned up and then drug her home 100 miles. Everything seems to be working good!
