What is your favorite mod or improvement on your bow rider?

I am thinking of re-mounting my bimini top strap eyes to the windshield as I hate the buzzing sound they make.

I twist the straps before attaching them to the eyes- seems to work pretty good on keeping the buzzing down.

My number one mod by far is SeaDek on the swim platform. I've also done most of the other mods people have mentioned as well. The other one that works particularly well is a Heatercraft heater with four outlets. Way cool when it gets a little chilly. Up on deck is a wakeboard tower and maybe some 20p four-bladed props as the boat is a dog on the holeshot.

Another way to stop the buzz is to zip tie, Velcro etc. the straps into a u shape several places along the strap so that it is no longer flat and is in a u shape from top to bottom.

Bumble... Just sent you a message....

I left some things out...

I added a 2nd battery and Perko (built a battery box), two amps, mirror and arm for the wakeboard tower... When I add the OceanLED's I'll be adding runway lighting to my trailer... I think that's all....

I think...

I added a second battery with the Blue Sea ACR and switch..

girffen tough case and Ram mount for the iPad 3 along with a Blue Sea dedicated USB charge port. Not only do I have navigation for the water but I can blue tooth stream my iTunes to the radio.

Well...looks some some of the mod money will have to go to a tune up now lol. She is hesitating at anything past 3/4 throttle the last couple days. Won't get past 35 or so either. I'm thinking the wires are shot. I took a couple off the top today and they did have a bit of moisture in them. Any tips on this? Air them out and a bit of wd-40? I will have to look at night for any arching. Damn full moon tonight gave me too much light. Also, for you 4.3MPI folks, any tips for plugs/wires and cap? Is the job a pain and are there better aftermarket alternatives (not necessarily cheaper, but better) for the parts? Would love to hear what you have done.

I would stick with the merc parts. They are marine rated and last a long time. Access in the 195 shouldn't be too bad and if you have done it before should be no problem. Make sure you don't over tighten the new plugs and you should be good to go.

Make sure your fuel filter is fresh, that's easy too. So is cleaning the flame arrester. At this age I would replace the wires, even if they look OK.

Looked at it close. Didn't see any arching. Bought the new cap/rotor at the dealership for $100 which wasn't terrible. Threw it on and running like new. The cap was pretty bad underneath. Back to normal and all good. I will do the plugs and wires off season when she is out of the water. The fuel filter was new a month ago so all good there.

Thanks guys. I'll give them a twist and maybe add a zip tie.
