Report: 'Jersey Shore' star Mike Sorrentino will earn more than $5 million

While some reality stars only get their 15 minutes of fame, Mike Sorrentino, aka the Situation, from "Jersey Shore," is building his career around it. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the MTV reality star stands to earn more than $5 million by the end of this year.
He earns $60,000 per episode for the show and his appearance fee ranges from $15,000 to $50,000.
How is he making the rest of his income? Sorrentino has a fitness video, supplement line with GNC, book deal, vodka, Vitamin Water and Reebok endorsements, rap song, clothing line and potential movie roles.
Although he is known on the show for constantly flashing his abs, Sorrentino now can show off cash. Not bad for a reality star who once worked as an assistant manager of a Staten Island fitness center.
If you haven't heard the Situation rap, listen here.

Funny...almost seems like that's the type of world that would vote itself unearned wealth at the expense of the productive...hmmm.

sounds like the same world that would elect Obama to the whitehouse.....

Agreed from the standpoint that being able to make 5 mil from this is dependent on people who "support" that stuff which, to me, seems like a societal shortcoming to say the least. No different than Paris Hilton being Paris Hilton. But, can't argue with any of these people "capitalizing" on their opportunity. Suckers all around us. I just can't figure out why I can't do the same?? Oh yeah, I think its my abs err, my 12 pack physique.

Well I too can't hold a grudge against the guy, take advantage while you can man! Heck just have one word of advice, one none of these folks ever take. Invest wisely as the taxes keep coming! I am guessing he will make 5 million this year and have it spent over the coming 2 years... Hopefully he is smarter...

Nothing wrong with taking advantage of stupid people. It's worked for decades for the "entertainment" industry. And there's no shortage of stupid people.
