just inside the transome door is a small enclosure which contains the shore power cable, the fresh water shower, shore water connector and a standard hose fitting for connecting (yes youve guessed it) a hose.

in that same place is an electrical SWITCH. nothing happens when i move it and i have no idea what the "off" position is.

its a switch with a rubber cover, mounted on a cream coloured circular plastic panel about 5 inches in diameter (although the switch itself is standard size).

does anybody know what it is for???

Sounds like you're describing the breaker switch for the shore power.

It is highly likely that it is the breaker for the shore power.

thanks guys, it's certainly in the right place to be that. it just feels too lightweight to be a mains power breaker... but i will check that out tomorrow - soon find out!
thanks again
