Sorry for what may be a stupid question but I have searched the threads and neither my hard copy supplied boat manual or a downloaded one refers to this button. (On my ipad and it will not let me load a pic that I took of this for some reason - so pls bear with me).

i have a 320DA 2005 with stern drives.

I have a button above acc2 on the right hand side of my console button layout. It's mimic is a square tank with a waterline and two arrows at either side of it. It powers the integral green light when I turn it on.

I think it is for a depth sounder but not Sure so would like some guidance.
if the switch is in place do I have one or do sr simply fit it as standard regardless if the option is installed?
How do I tell if I have one?

Sounds like fresh water pump, but it is not used on 320. Same panel was used on several models, but some switches are inactive, as is the case in a 320.

Ok, I cant access my icloud pics for some reason but here is a picture in another post that shows the button below ac22 button, is that button really for the fresh water pump?

Yes, as several others have stated this is the button for Fresh Water pump but inactive on your boat because you should have a switch on the DC panel of your boat for Fresh Water pump. As far as I can tell, the helm button was used up to the 280DA. 300DA-up has the cabin breaker instead.

It's the fresh water pump switch. As mentioned your's may be turned on from the main panel inside the boat.

Probably right. Or it's the marine version of this.......

Problem is you have to get your boat up to 76.4699093 knots to see if it works!!!!!! :smt043

As stated before its for the fresh water pump. Not used on your model though. I believe it was the 280 that this was used.

It powers the integral green light when I turn it on.
Begs the question if it is an unused switch then why does the green light come on when he activates it? An unused switch seems like it wouldn't have any power going to it. Without power, the green light shouldn't come on. So if it is in fact unused, where does the power come from, or more importantly, where does the power go to?

That whole panel (pod) is powered by the same harness. It will illuminate the switches, but on the ECM they are not controlling anything.

Not used on the 2005 300DA either. I remember seeing on here that other folks have tapped into it to control a secondary dc bus bar or something to that effect. Other than that, it just another button.

Great - thanks everyone for the responses - dumb water pump switch it is then!

I had an "expert" local tell me it was for a depth sounder and that threw me so happy to see a consistency in response. I am still learning the boat and this is my first SeaRay and may have more of these stupid questions as i work down the list of things to do.
I have to say I seem to have read so many posts on here in the last six months chasing down information that my wife is convinced that clubsearay is some kind of dubious front for more nefarious activities!

Dont be surprised if I also reach out for an alibi some day!

When I introduce my CSR friends to my other friends I tell them that we met on a "gay" website. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Also, don't assume it is not connected to anything. The boat is 9 ears old, and the PO could have connected it to something. You may want to look behind the dash to make sure.

Poor advice, Mr. Helper...

Looking behind the "dash" (lol) won't help...the switch is not a discrete on the 320da.

You guys have it all wrong, that button is for the optional toaster.

While looking behind the dash is a waste of time, you might find the circuit in EIM and see that the previous owner did indeed patch into that circuit. (For the toaster, of course)

Nice dumbass response from an "adminstrator / technical contributor". Way to hold up those standards!

Geez, lighten up Francis. The question was answered, the guy thanked us, and if i'm not mistaken I think Scott was making a joke. Last I checked joking was still allowed here, even by moderators.

Beat me to it Scott... I was just about to post a picture of one!

And in the end, they all discovered that it is actually the "DRAMA" switch, and it has been connected all this time. Nobody noticed what it was doing.:smt043
