I am re-doing the interior of my boat and these bolts were used to hold on the cushions. In Overton's they are described as "Pontoon Deck Bolts" although a search yields nothing. Overton's sells them in packs of 100 but I only need 35-45. Anyone know where to get them? What they are called?

Thanks,

GrahamB

Try searching to "t" nuts/bolts in stainless, check out bosuns supply

The Tee nuts seem to have similar teeth but in a different fashion. The bolt/nut combo im looking for have the teeth on the head of the bolt and lock washers.

Thanks for the help

Its a form of a "T" bolt used in a seating application. You can find them at your nearest Fastenal store, I hate referring anyone to them, but they are national...also a wood furniture store might have them...
I might be able to get them for you, but I'll have to look at my office tomorrow...

I checked out their website and as I suspected its a maze of links aimed at someone who knows exactly what they need. I will likely swing by there tomorrow but let me know if you can get them because I would rather give someone on the board business.

Graham take my advice, buy them from Overtons.... Fastenal is also going to make you buy 100 and I'll bet money on it that they will be more expensive.....Trust me on this one Ok?

And when you're talking to Overtons, tell 'em that they are not called Pontoon Deck Bolts unless they want some hate mail. Just got the Overton's catalog in today's mail. Good thing it's cool tonight. I'm burning it. Like Sea Ray would use pontoon anything on our boats.

Best regards,
Frank

I stopped by the local Fastenal store today and looked around. Not only do I not want to do business with them but they didn't carry them in stock. The stupid "sales" person:

a. tried to convince me that the "non-fanged" versions would do what I wanted

b. gave me a go to hell look when I said they wouldn't

and

c. didn't offer to look through the catalogue to see if he could order them

so...... to hell with them

That being said. Were you able to see if you have them? I need something 1 1/2" - 1 3/4" length with the "fangs".

Thanks,

How's you rebuilding coming? got any pictures?

Well, its coming, although schedule vs. weather is not working in my favor. Today we have blowing dust, 35-40mph winds, and 92 degrees. Should be able to hit the ground running next week. That being said here is the current progress: http://www.darkskyproductions.com/boat/gutted.JPG

When we get going next week I will start a thread in the Sport Boat section and post photos of everything as it happens

Blind nut looks like that but is a nut. I've never seen a bolt with the toothed head.
