I used to have a fiberglass pole that had a hook on one end while the other end would attach to the pier and then i could put my electric cord in the hook end so it would stay out of the water. the entire pole was only about 4' long. Has anyone ever seen this or know the name of it? I am trying to replace mine but I don't know what it's called so I can't search for it.

Thanks.

The one I am referring to is just a long skinny fiberglass pole that attaches to the pier. My canvas covers my rod holders so I can't keep that in to hold the cord.

Is this the Whachamacallit?

Carver370 found it. It's called a dock line caddy. Thanks everyone for the feedback.

I knew exactly what you were talking about but it took a few minutes of google searching some stuff to figure out what its actually called.

And now I know what that doohickey in my basement is. I inherited one of these, tucked in behind the mufflers in my lazarette. Didn't quite know what to make of it.
