What is actually covered under warranty?

I checked our 340 (built Apr '05) & all welds were intact & show no signs of fatigue. The brace material was approx 1/4" thick & welded both sides to riser pipe. I weld for a living, not structural, but I know a good penetrating weld with proper amount of fill when I see one. I weight 235lb & don't tread lightly so unless you've had much heavier traffic I'd suppect a manufacturing flaw. Good luck with repair.

Only one step has failed! The rest of the steps are fine. Most of the time the boat is used by just my wife and I. I am the fat one at 240lb.

Should hear something back from SeaRay today.

Greetings,

I have a 2005 340 DA that I bought new. I also bought the extended warranty. I noticed that the welding of one of my steps going down to the cabin is breaking off. As a result, the step is very loose and ready to fall off. MM told me that it is not under warranty but they will try to talk to SeaRay about it.
SeaRay anwer was "What do you want us to do about it?"
Just wondering if you think this is a structure issue that should be covered or just forget about it and have it fixed and pay for it?

Thank you for your opinion!

Heard back from MM today and Searay is shipping a new stair assembly for free if I agree to pay for the labor. I did agree. Seems fair to me.

SR just replaced our painted rusting AC pan with a stainless one. SR supplied the part & paid 1/2 the labor, my cost $150. I figure it cost SR ~ $20 for the pan, my dealer made $50 & the independent AC tech made $100. All's fair & I no longer have rust stains on my just polished & waxed blue hull & white boot stripe. This & a few other responsible actions prior & post delivery by SR & our dealer, Sail & Ski in AUS, confirm we chose the best manufacture & dealer in '05.

While the AC tech was replacing the pan he discovered the output duct was not plumbed properly & he corrected....said it blows a gale now.

Searay shipped the new stairs and MM replaced it. Total labor and travel cost $359. Safely going down to the cabin, priceless!!
