What have you done?

Wow that really looks great. What did you use for adhesive to secure it? Have you had any condensation or mildue issues?

I used 3M spray adhesive on the parts that were removable and indoor/outdoor carpet adhesive with the recommended V-notch trowel on the ceiling. The carpet manufacturer stated that it is mold and mildew resistant and to this point there are no signs of either. This is the first winter the carpet will endurer though the boat will be stored inside this year and won't need to be wrap tight.

Did you remove bulkheads that the old monkey fur went behind or just trim it flush? I'm debating weather I should remove my galley cabinets and head bulkheads to replace it.

Once I removed all of the trim work the only spot I had to trim flush was on the port side where the bulkhead met the hull that separated the V-berth area from the galley.

Due to time constraints I didn't to the V-berth this year, that is my next interior project. I plan to start removing the MF in the next few weeks.

Watching your thread closely. We also have the MF which I would love to remove but too big of a job. I will watch your progress and maybe get inspired to do the same. Alas, this would be a big project for me. I hear you can trim the fur down, that is something I can prbably handle - looking for pic. Thanks for the inspiration.
