What have I done ??!!

I have only changed my trans oil once... I should probably do that again this year.. I agree with Creekwood… I would use it as a bargaining chip. I just had to replace one of my HE for the engine. The HE for the engine cost $1,600 each... The HE for the trans are much less... I don't have a price, but changing them is not difficult. I would suggest that you change your water pumps... They are hared to do if you use the trick I do... disconnect the hose from the Trans cooler, and leave it attached to the pump... I have a hot swap pump assembly which switch out...

Hi, Went through 2 surveys last year and I had to walk due to soft bottom. Have the surveyor pay attention to the underwater exhaust port, that’s where they found the soft spots on both boats. It’s worth the upfront cost for a good survey rather than the big expense to repair later!! Good Luck!!

Look at the anti freeze over flow bottles. If empty or near empty there could be a leak in the cooling system. If equally full they probably added anti freeze before your inspection and there is a leak. Have your mechanic do a pressure test on the cooling system. Our system leaked I replaced all the heat exchangers and risers. Leak is now 1" in the bottle loss per 50 hours. We have 3200 hours on our 454s and 1500 on the generator.

There are no over flow bottles with your trans coolers.... The oil is cooled directly by the raw water flowing threw the HE. The Oil would either be diluted with raw water, or low if there is a leak...

All went very well with the survey- oils samples came back acceptable on everything except the starboard transmission- need new duck bills on vaccuflush and other general maintenance items , but all in all, she’s a sound boat. Found one small blister on the port side during the haul out inspection. Replacing both heat exchangers in trannys, and have tune up on all engines (impellers, oil, plugs, wires, new zincs, etc.) got the seller to come off the price 2,000 for repairs.
