From manual1 ,it lists 2 brown wires ,1 from the tach, 1 from the shift interupter. to the negative side of the coil
a tan wire from the "R" side of the starter to the ballast resistor, then a white to the + side of the coil.

Now now. Let's be welcoming to a poster that obviously needs serious help. I'll start by answering the question the poster tried to type.

This forum is a tremendous good to the Sea Ray community. For example tonight I am sitting in the cockpit of my 270 watching the full moon rise over the lake. I am confident my anchor will hold as I sleep restfully, as I read and asked about the anchor, rode, and how to deploy it on this site. I could go on and on about other savings and techniques that have been invaluable, but that was what my thank you post was all about.

So check your posts for spelling, add a little punctuation, be patient ( maybe bumping your thread if you get no replies) and only post the question in one category.

Agreed......you never know when we're being tested. How many wires could a 33 year old boat have?
