What Engine Coolant for 8.1s

What coolant is everyone using for their closed cooling on the 8.1S. We are leaving on a trip and I am crossing thing off my list that i need to take extra of.

Dexcool is what Mercruiser uses and specifies.

Yep - Dexcool or equivalent. Just don't use regular glycol since it can cause leftover Dexcool in the engine's passages to gel - they apparently do NOT get along...

Yes. Distiller water if mixing it yourself.

Have you guys ever used water wetter in with dexcool? I've used it on every car I've owned and always dissipated heat a lot more.
