Boat Info
310 Sundancer 2001
Engines
5.7 Mercruiser 350 mpi v-drive
2001 310 Sundancer with 2011 5.7 mpi Horizons.

Just changed the coil unit and now instead of the usual one beep when I turn on the ignition I'm getting two. Does anyone know what this alarm is trying to tell me?

Thanks

1 time deal or does double beep continue?
1 time normal, continuous not so much
When I push the ignition switch on it beeps twice instead of once. No more than that. Except it's always been one beep and port is still one beep.

I didn
My 2005 baja beeps twice. Howz it run? I wouldn't sweat the small stuff.

I didn't want to fire it up in fear I might fire it up . Hoping to find out what it's trying to warn me about first.

Start it up and if it beeps every minute, yah it's trying to tell you something. No it won't blow up, something serious like no oil pressure would be a solid hard alarm

My 2001 always beeps twice. Im curios what it beeps for inthe first place.

I do not know. I will ask the previous owner tomorrow and reply back.

I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!!
One engine coil was replaced in an attempt to solve an issue, the coil wasn't the problem. I know this doesn't help much. Is there any chance you are just mistaken about the noise and it has always had 2 short beeps? Every boat I have been on in the last 3 months has had 2 beeps.

Finally worked up the nerve to start it:). It beeps twice every min or so. Didn't leave it on long enough to see if it would stall when it warmed up. The motor sounds great when running.

I put the old coil on and it's one beep, starts, runs great(no beeps), and stalls when it warms up.

Can the two beeps mean the new coil is faulty?

Thanks!!

I have googled certain questions before. There is a website that will link you to a certifeid boat mechanic, maybe try that.

There is some great mechanics on this site, as far as remote diagnostic, they are good. It would be easier if it’s in front of them. I recommend following their instructions
