What does it do??

I was wondering if somebody could tell me what the button that looks like a tank with waves in it and an arrow pointing in on either side is for. I have pushed it but not sure what it does.
It is located on the right hand side of my helm close to the accessory buttons. I have a 2003 320 DA.

This switch turns the water system on and off.

i really dont know what that swicth does, i have water pressure either way, i can even hear the pump working when that swicth is off
